The hike itself is challenging, but doable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness. You'll start early in the morning, and ascend the mountain via a steep trail that winds through lush forests and rocky outcrops. As you climb higher, the views become more and more spectacular, and the sense of accomplishment grows with every step.
Once you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, as well as a chance to explore the crater itself. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife that calls the mountain home, such as buffaloes, baboons, and hyenas.

Spend 4-6 hours to complete the entire Mt. Longonot hike.
The 3.1-kilometer trail up the mountain from the gate to the rim of the crater will take you 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on one’s fitness.
Once you reach the rim, you have the choice to descend or hike all the way around the crater.
This adds some 7.2 km to the hike. A trek around the rim typically takes 2-3 hours.
You will be accompanied by an approved guide whom you will get at the entrance incase you are new to Mt. climbing.
Along the hiking trails you might be lucky to see a few of the wildlife and birds alike.

- Where cancellation is requested more than 48 hours before the event date, a 50% refund of the booking confirmation deposit will be issued.
- The excess paid above the booking confirmation deposit will be refunded in full.
- Where cancellation is requested 48 hours or less before the event date, no refund will be issued on the booking confirmation deposit.

- Latecomers and no-shows forfeit the entire amount paid up.
