It is perfectly positioned on the prime wildlife area of Maasai Mara where we can very easily conduct our safaris in some of the well-known areas of the Game Reserve with great wildlife especially known pride of lions, Leopards and Cheetahs, and the wildebeests crossing points.
Where Zebra Plains Mara camp sits there is plenty of game that moves or feeds in front of our camp or by the thick bush behind the camp. Zebras, Giraffes, Topis, Thomson’s’ Gazelles, Elands, Wildebeests, Elephants, and warthogs are some of the commonly seen wildlife at day time. When in the camp at night you will be listening to the lion’s thunderous roar echoing across the plains. We are going to deliver on your wildlife safari experience.
HOW TO GET TO THERE – Location
There are daily flights that operate to Maasai Mara from Nairobi or Coastal region and we are 25 minutes of drive from Olkiombo airstrip if you are arriving by air. By road from Nairobi takes you about 5 Hours 30 minutes to arrive at our camp and only 20 minutes from the Talek gate. We will organize transport for you from the time that you arrive at the International airport in Nairobi to our camp in Maasai Mara and back again or your preferred travel agent can organize this for you.

Tents
The luxury tented rooms are furnished with all amenities that you will require for your comfortable stay while visiting Maasai Mara. They can be converted into doubles, singles or triples depending on the bookings. The family tent is spacious and it can accommodate a group of between 4 and and 6. All tents have both cold and hot running water for showers, wash basin, flash toilet, luggage rack, reading table,mosquito nets and comfy safari chairs on the verandah for you to enjoy the amazing views from your tent.
Luxury Tented Rooms and Family Villas
Our luxury tented rooms are furnished with all the amenities that you will require for a comfortable stay whilst visiting the Maasai Mara. The rooms can be converted into doubles, singles or triples depending on the guests requests. Two of our luxury tented rooms are designed for honey-mooners and those set to celebrate their special occasions.
We have one standard luxury tented family tent that has two connected rooms with each of the rooms having own amenities, It is recommended for families with small children, 4 adults sharing in two twins or 2 Adults in single room occupancy. It is not recommended for two couples.
We also have two deluxe tented family Villas.These tents are very spacious and each of them has two rooms connected by a lounge and dining which still it can be converted into a room.These villas are recommended for families with small children or teenagers ,6 Adults either in 3 twins/2 triples, 2 couples who know each other or even one family that has upto 8 members. It is not recommended for 3 Couples.Each of the 3 rooms (Lounge & Dining included) in each family Villa has own amenities,own entrances and own Verandahs.
All of our tents have both cold and hot running water for showers. The are as well furnished with washing basin,flushing toilet, luggage rack, reading table, mosquito nets and comfy safari chairs to experience the amazing views from the verandahs.

Food & Dining
Zebra Plains Mara Camp Chefs have over 18 years of experience in cooking in different 5 star Hotels, Camps and safari Lodges in Kenya and two other East African countries.
Zebra Plains Mara Camp caters for both local and international cuisines with Vegeterian, Nov-vegeterian,Halal,Gluten free and other guests requests being taken care.
The Camp mostly offer English Breakfasts and Three menu courses for lunch and dinners. When you are enjoying your drinks in the evening before dinner our team will always provide some snacks or bitings. Kid’s menus are as well available.
Always feel free to speak to one of our chefs should there be any requests that you would like to be taken care of.
Zebra Plains Mara Camp dining areas features both indoor and outdoor setups with several places to offer lovely set ups for our guests.

Zebra Plains Mara Camp has very spacious main area that features the following amenities;
- Five comfy and relaxing Lounges of which one is a bar lounge that is connected to our well stocked bar and one is a TV lounge that it can be used by our photographers too.The TV Screen is big and photographers and their group leader can always use for their photo workshop.
- Well stocked bar that has good selection of wines,spirits,whiskies,gins,local beers and soft drinks,Our drinks features both local and imported selection.We always meet our guests tastes.
- Two day beds (A double and a twin) and three sun beds with umbrella shades for relaxing while enjoying a drink,a book or private lovely time with your loved ones.
- Two very attracting and relaxing bonfires where our guests and their hosts meet in the evening to share their days stories with the preferred aperitif before dinner or after dinner.
Zebra Plains Mara Camp main area has the best views of the open plains of the Maasai Mara where you will always have some animals walking infront of the camp or coming for the drink.Sunsets from here as well are some of the best in the Mara and you should always look forward to.

Game Drives
Zebra Plains Mara Camp offer up to three game drives daily, designed around giving Zebra Plains Mara Camp guests the best game viewing experience possible. Zebra Plains Mara Camp 4×4 land cruiser safari vehicles depart early in the morning, and late in the afternoon when the temperature is cooler and the big cats are more active.
Walking Safaris
This is the best way of getting closer to nature and its wildlife. Your senses of sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing would be put to action at every step; Here you will step out of your safari vehicle and Zebra Plains Mara Camp qualified Maasai naturalist with another armed and experienced guide leads this walking safari. Get closer to the giraffes, zebras, impalas and other plains game, smell some of the plants, taste some of the edible plants, touch some of the wildlife products, hear those snorting impala rams roaring, identify foot prints left by lions or leopards at night and other game and identify some interesting small game like spiders, butterflies, dung beetles, termites amongst others.
Cultural Visits
Visit one of the villages in the Mara and learn a lot about our Maasai people and their interesting cultures. Here you will photograph Maasai warriors and women as they take you through their different mesmerizing songs with great jumps and moves. They will also welcome you to join them at your own choice. Thereafter the Maasai cultural guide will take you to see Maasai huts and the cattle/sheep/goats/ lion proof kraal. You will also get to learn and experience their culture. This is not inclusive of our rates. It costs 15$ per person per visit.
Balloon Rides
Seeing Mara and its great wildlife from above is just breathtaking. Balloon rides last for about 45 minutes to about 1 Hour 15 minutes before having our famous champagne breakfast. This experience is not inclusive of our rates and is paid for separately. Book your Masai Mara Balloon Safari here.
Photographic Safaris
Whether you are a professional photographer leading your small group of visitors on a photographic safari, are just a photography enthusiast yourself, we can assist you in following some of the great wildlife Kenya has to offer. Zebra Plains Mara open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles are custom made for photography. We guarantee you your own row of seating for photography with a maximum 3 or 4 photographers per safari vehicle.
Sundowners
Zebra Plains Mara Camp afternoon game drives offer our guests fantastic wildlife sightings. As the temperature cool, and the sun dips below the horizon, the bush comes alive. Big cats awaken from their daytime rest and bush’s nocturnal residents become active. As the day transitions into evening, Zebra Plains Mara guides find a safe spot to stop the game drive vehicles, and treat Zebra Plains Mara guests to a sundowner and some snacks.
